Gin Campari Sour

Mixing Campari, gin, and lemon with an egg white creates this most elegant cocktail. The sharp flavors are rounded out by the addition of the egg white, which gives you a silky texture and signature foamy top to the cocktail.

Time 5 minutes | Makes 1 cocktail

Ingredients

1 ½ ounces gin
¾ ounce Campari
¾ ounce fresh lemon juice
½ ounce simple syrup
1 egg white
1 drop bitters
Orange twist, to garnish

 

How to Make It

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 30 seconds.

Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

Chef Notes

Adding an egg white to this cocktail helps mellow the bitter elements of the drink and adds a silky foam top. If you don't want to ingest raw egg whites, you can substitute with ¾ ounce of aquafaba. Aquafaba is the liquid from a can of chickpeas. It is a vegan alternative for making foams.
